Report: Mueller is doing 'fine'

Uncategorized Send feedback »
Brooke Mueller

UPDATE:

TMZ.com reports that Charlie Sheen just left the hospital where wife Brooke Mueller is recovering from a nasty infection that landed her in the ICU. He says she's doing "fine."

Also from the story:

Brooke's lawyer, Yale Galanter, tells TMZ she should be released from the hospital today and he expects the hearing on the protective order will still be heard in an Aspen court on Friday.

From earlier ...

-------

TMZ.com is reporting that Brooke Mueller was taken to an L.A. hospital and put in ICU, reportedly with a fever of 105 and possibly pneumonia.

From TMZ:

Sources connected with Brooke say the problem is related to oral surgery she had earlier in the week. She is being treated with antibiotics.

Charlie arrived (at the hospital) with two friends, including Mark Burg, Executive Producer of "Two and a Half Men." We're told Charlie is living in Burg's guest house, because of the protective order.

The protective order does not say the parties cannot be in the same room. It says they cannot have direct contact or direct communication. Therefore, Charlie could theoretically be in the same hospital room, without speaking to Brooke.

"Brooke is in the hospital ICU related to the surgery for her impacted wisdom tooth," Mueller's attorney, Yale Galanter, said. "They are trying to get the infection and fever under control. The infection has spread."

Stay tuned ... here's our post from earlier today ...

-------

A hearing in Charlie Sheen's domestic violence case has been delayed two days because his wife Brooke Mueller had to have a wisdom tooth removed, according to People.com.

From the story:

"She has been ordered by the doctor to stay in bed for 72 hours," the source close to Mueller says.

Mueller's attorney had filed court papers asking that she be allowed to attend Wednesday's hearing in an Aspen, Colo., court by telephone, but the judge instead set the session for Friday because the law requires both Mueller and Sheen to appear in person.

Mueller, 32, maintained that she wants to see her husband again. Her attorney Yale Galanter filed a motion to try to get the order's no-contact clause thrown out.

"Even though a court order has prohibited Charlie from being around Brooke, she wants her husband to see his kids as often as he likes," Galanter tells PEOPLE. "And the kids have seen their father several times."

"Brooke and Charlie will each be in court Friday morning," adds Galanter, "but they will not come to Aspen from Los Angeles together."

Galanter recently disputed a report that claimed Mueller went to rehab for alcohol abuse while pregnant with the 10-month-old twins - Bob and Max - she had with Charlie Sheen.

The 44-year-old Sheen was arrested Dec. 25 after Mueller called 911 saying the actor threatened her. A judge issued a temporary restraining order against Sheen keeping him away from Mueller but not their sons.

Lakota East grad gets 'Idol' judges, fans talking

Uncategorized 2 feedbacks »

Last week, it was 'Pants on the Ground'. But one of the most talked-about auditions during Tuesday night's Chicago episode is bound to be the fake fainting spell and "Boob-boxing" moves provided by 27-year-old Amy Lang, a Lakota East grad (and the daughter of West Chester Township Trustee George Lang) who called Jeff & Jenn Wednesday morning to talk about her audition!

Watch it here ...

Wow.

1) The thing with Ryan Seacrest before the audition ... yikes.

2) West Chester. Two words, people! (They had Westchester on the lower-third). :)

3) The looks on the judges' faces after she fell was pretty priceless, no?

4) Boob-boxing? Really?

Lang didn't get a golden ticket to Hollywood, but Fox 19 reports that she's living in New York and just got a role in an off-Broadway play.

What do you think? Quite a piece of work, eh? Did she deserve to go to Hollywood?

Did Shania say what I think she said?

Uncategorized Send feedback »

Shania Twain didn't do a bad job overall as a guest judge, but she is definitely to blame for one of the most awkward minutes of "American Idol" Tuesday night when she told auditioner John Park he has "a beautiful bottom end" and "nice lips ... and a good head."

My favorite part is probably Randy's reaction right after she said "bottom end." HUH?

108 bones for a T-shirt?!

Uncategorized Send feedback »

Get a load of this ... Kings of Leon's got a new clothing collection, but People.com's Style blog points out that the items are most definitely not cheap.

From People.com:

With a black leather bomber jacket going for $1150, T-shirt for $108 and jeans for $150, you’ll need a wallet that’s on fire to keep that closet full of Leon gear.

The four-time Grammy nominees will release their 12-piece collection with Paris-based Surface2Air in the U.S. under the name S2A x KOL.

Set to be available at fine men’s clothing stores like Barney’s New York and on Gargyle.com starting Jan. 25, the Followills’ hipster designs also include ankle boots, flat-brimmed fedoras and flannel shirts.

No word on whether we’ll see the rockers wearing their own designs at the upcoming Grammy Awards on Jan. 31.

Would you shell out $108 for a T-shirt?

Report: NPH may appear on 'Glee'

Uncategorized Send feedback »
Neil Patrick Harris

Neil Patrick Harris is nearing a deal to appear in the May sweeps episode of "Glee" that will be directed by "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" director Joss Whedon, according to ew.com.

From ew.com:

Anyway, Harris wants to do it, and Glee creator Ryan Murphy sure as hell wants him to — he’s creating a role especially for the How I Met Your Mother scene-stealer. And yes, the part includes a little song-’n'-dance. In fact, the gig not only would reunite Harris with Whedon, it’d also reteam him with Zachary Woodlee, who choreographed the musical number in HIMYM’s recent 100th episode.

The one possible snag — and there’s always one, isn’t there? CBS has to OK its MVP’s appearance on Fox’s breakout hit. But at least since HIMYM and Glee are both produced by 20th Century Fox, there’s no conflict on their end.

If you're a "Glee" fan, are you excited? Are NPH fans who don't watch "Glee" going to watch this episode?

Most desirable woman?

Uncategorized Send feedback »
Emmanuelle Chriqui

AskMen.com polled its staff and 6 million reader votes to compile the Top 99 Most Desirable Women of the new year. The site explained its criteria: "What does the modern man look for in his ideal companion?"

Here are the Top 10:

10. Miranda Kerr
9. Eva Mendes (voted No. 1 in 2009)
8. Cheryl Cole
7. Penelope Cruz
6. Beyonce
5. Jessica Alba
4. model Alessandra Ambrosio
3. Kate Beckinsale
2. model Marisa Miller
1. 'Entourage' star Emmanuelle Chriqui!

"Hearing what the vote is made of is the biggest compliment of all because it's about being a well-rounded woman. That's really empowering and is just a massive compliment to me," the 32-year-old Chriqui said of the honor.

She finished 12th last year.

AskMen.com editor-in-chief James Bassil said Chriqui's role in "Entourage" as a sweet, ideal girlfriend had helped her in the survey - but so had the fact that she is not overexposed.

"We don't see a lot of her. She is not a very public person so it leaves some room to the imagination. She is not out there making a spectacle of herself which could sully her image," he told Reuters.

"A lot of the behavior we see in the media is not the kind of behavior that you want to see in a girlfriend or wife. You can get over-saturation and we don't want to see their real and sometimes stained and depressed sides of their lives."

What do you think? Is Chriqui worthy of the top spot? What about the rest of the list?

Daily awkwardness

Uncategorized Send feedback »

I know I've slacked and daily awkwardness hasn't exactly been daily but it's back for this ...

A blogger for the New York Times made an unfortunate Twitter comment about the knit skull cap "Dexter" star Michael C. Hall - who is battling cancer - wore at the Golden Globes.

"Is Michael C. Hall playing Bob Marley in an upcoming movie? Don't get the hat or what he is hiding under it," read the comment from the Times' style blog, the Moment.

The blogger eventually realized the oversight with the following Tweet: "So sorry that Michael C. Hall has had cancer. Thanks for clarifying why he is wearing a knitted skull cap."

When the actor won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Television drama, he joked about his Japanese hat (covering up hair loss that resulted from cancer treatment), "it is nice to have a justifiable excuse for accessorizing!"

J-Lo blasts Conan, Jay and Dave

Uncategorized Send feedback »

Jennifer Lopez filled in Monday on TBS' "Lopez Tonight" as a "guest host" for George Lopez - and she piled on as the ongoing saga at NBC continues, taking shots at Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien and even David Letterman.

Lopez started her monologue with this:

"Welcome to Lopez Tonight, where nobody gets fired, they just get replaced by a bigger star with the same last name..."

She joked that a Manhattan bartender has created a specialty cocktail in honor of Conan.

"It's called The Go-Back-To-Manhattan...it's a Manhattan with sour grapes and a knife in it."

ZING!

Lopez also wondered whether Leno was too old to attract hip, young viewers. "NBC is thinking about changing the NBC peacock to a cougar, since they are trying to attract young people to an old host," she joked.

"Some women don't like the expression 'COUGAR' but it's better than what guys get, right? An older guy who dates a younger girl that's called a 'LETTERMAN'."

ZING!

Late-night mess almost resolved?

Uncategorized Send feedback »

NBC continued negotiations Monday on an exit deal with Conan O'Brien that would clear the way for Leno to reclaim the 11:35 p.m. EST slot occupied by "Tonight," which he hosted for 17 years before turning it over to O'Brien last spring.

Conan is reportedly close to signing a $40 million deal to walk away from "The Tonight Show" and end a weeks-long controversy between the late-night host and NBC.

The agreement could come as early as Tuesday, according to the Wall Street Journal. The potential deal would bar O'Brien from "bad-mouthing" his former bosses at NBC but would allow him to take another television job within one year, the Journal said.

Jay Leno got all serious on his show Monday night to discuss the late-night chaos at NBC, telling viewers that he'd been doubtful about launching a prime-time show but was prevented by NBC from going to another network instead.

He went on for quite some time, explaining his perspective and also saying that he had told NBC he'd return to the "Tonight" slot only after Conan rejected the network's plan to put both men on in late night.

Here's Jay's statement in its entirety:

One of Conan's best lines Monday night:

"Last night at the Golden Globes, Julia Roberts said that NBC was in the toilet. NBC was upset and toilets were furious."

NBC Universal President and CEO Jeff Zucker said Monday the company has made the right business decision in bringing former Tonight Show host Jay Leno back to his former 11: 35 timeslot, even as the move paves the way out for longtime NBC late-night personality Conan O'Brien.

"We think that Jay - who was the ratings champ in late night for almost 15 years - will go back to 11:35 and be successful," Zucker said on Charlie Rose. "What Conan decides to do obviously is up to Conan. We don't wish him any ill will at all."

Zucker did not discuss the progress of negotiations between NBC and O'Brien and only said conversations are underway to release O'Brien from his contract.
